Junya Watanabe SS25 Dress

For his Spring Summer 2025 collection, shown at Paris Fashion Week, the designer was inspired by the 2014 film Ex Machina and featured designs created from upcycled and everyday materials. Think upcycling, but make it couture.  He transformed BMX and motocross gear, Tyvek carrier bags, Velcro strips and even soundproofing foam into graceful coats and otherworldly cocktail and evening dresses. 

For me this was the stand-out dress from the collection.
